Nigeria Vs. Argentina: Start Your Party At 16th Minute

By Ediale Kingsley

If Argentina can’t beat Nigeria after 15mins of the match. I’d recommend Nigerians start the party to celebrate round 16 qualification at the 16th minute. But there will be one little problem — Iceland.

Little because of their weight against Croatia. But considering the sizes of boots the Croatia coach plans to field and the fact that the Nigeria vs Argentina game seems destined for a tie, Nigerians may consider delaying the party a little later.

It does makes sense that Croatia’s coach rests some of the good legs that contributed a total of 5 goals in the tournament so far. At the World Cup, you need to play 7 matches to experience the final. If you have played 2 games good enough to see make game 3 irrelevant but game 4 certain. Common sense tells you to prepare for 4, 5, 6 & 7. Skipp 3, by fielding the team B.

So there is a good chance of Iceland beating Croatia. A draw gives Nigeria a total of 4 points. A win for Iceland gives them 4 points too. FIFA doesn’t use the head to head rule. Otherwise, we scale through because we beat Iceland.

So it’ll come to goal difference at the end of the day.

Nigeria should take to massive attack when they have the opportunity. Musa likes to score Argentina. The Argentine must have a plan for him. So it will be cool to have Iheanachor and Iwobi in that attacking rush.

I am not calling for a three man attack. Two is perfect. But on a counter which I am sure will be a handful. We should launch Iwobi, Musa and Iheanachor.

Moses has been effective as a winger. How they managed to tell convince him to interchange and adopt his Chelsea role is a thing to be applauded.

It won’t be an easy match. This World Cup is just about to witness the real Argentina. And the birthday boy is hungry for cake. And we know the kind of cake Messi eats.

I see an over 2.5.
